NetSold is a Chrome extension that tracks profit and HMRC reporting thresholds for UK resellers on Vinted, Depop and eBay. This page explains what data the extension handles and how.
When you visit your own Vinted or Depop "sold items" pages with the extension installed, NetSold reads sale details already visible on that page — item title, price, date, and status. It does not log into your account, does not act on your behalf, and does not read any page other than the ones you have open yourself.
NetSold does not read eBay's website at all. eBay sales reach NetSold only through a file you import yourself — see below.
eBay does not permit tools to read its pages, so NetSold does not. Instead, you can download your own Transaction report from eBay's Seller Hub and choose that file in NetSold's Settings tab.
The file is read in your browser, on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere, and NetSold does not keep a copy of it.
From each sale in the file, NetSold saves only:
Nothing else from the file is saved. NetSold does not look for buyer usernames, buyer names, delivery addresses or payment details — those columns are not part of what it reads, whether or not your report contains them.
Because this uses your browser's ordinary file picker, importing requires no additional Chrome permission. NetSold's permissions are unchanged: local storage, plus access to vinted.co.uk and depop.com only.
NetSold shows you a preview of exactly what will be imported, and nothing is saved until you confirm it.
Everything NetSold captures or imports — sales, costs, tags, and your Settings preferences — is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. There is no NetSold server. Nothing you track is sent anywhere, ever, as part of normal use.
NetSold's Settings tab lets you export your data to a file on your own device, and import a previously exported file back in. This is entirely user-initiated and happens on your device — no data passes through NetSold or any third party as part of this feature.
Upgrading to Pro is handled by our payment processor (ExtensionPay/Stripe). NetSold does not see or store your card details — payment information is handled entirely by the processor.
NetSold does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies of any kind. We have no way of knowing how many people use the extension beyond what the Chrome Web Store itself reports to us in aggregate.
NetSold is not directed at children and is not knowingly used by them.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be reflected in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
